This channel was created in part to help expose internet users to a straight forward, non-dogmatic approach to Vipassan Meditation. We are a group of meditation teachers who teach Vipassan Meditation in the Plum Village and Insight Meditation traditions. On the channel we created one guided video that teaches the basics of Vipassan, and then four silent videos with a repetitive Mindfulness Bell. The mindfulness bell is ceremoniously used in the Plum Village tradition as a central part of the practice. We thought long and hard and designed the channel to repeat itself because Vipassan must be repetitive to work. A good way to use the channel is to start from the guided meditation, to learn the basics. Then switch to the silent meditations with the repetitive mindfulness bell, and gradually extend the length of time you meditate using the various lengths of the silent videos.
