The TESS-India project is led by The Open University UK and Save The Children India, funded by UK Aid. It is working towards improving the quality and quantity of teacher education in India. Initiated in November 2012, the project focuses on the professional development of teacher educators and teachers in the states of Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Karnataka, Assam and West Bengal.Our goal is to encourage student-centric, active teaching and learning pedagogies at both elementary and secondary school levels across India. It is our belief that participatory teaching and learning practices are crucial to an enhanced classroom experience.
