There are many abandoned cats on the streets of Chicago. They get dropped off or left behind when people move. Sometimes families are no longer able to care for their cat and they put them in the street. I have been caring for these cats for the past 8 years. I have built shelters for them to survive the cold months, have fed them and make sure they have been spayed and neutered. I have adopted out some of the cats to loving homes, but there are so many more.I am now in my 70's and need help to continue caring for these cats. I go to Englewood every day to feed these cats. The people in the neighborhood know me as the "Cat lady." Unfortunately, my car was recently stolen when I was there feeding the cats. This has been a huge financial setback and now I am struggling to buy cat food and provide medical care for the cats. Please help me help these vulnerable animals who need so little. Thank you for any support you can provide.
