Miley Cyrus was born in the home of country, Nashville, Tennessee, to father and country-idol Billy Ray Cyrus on November 23, 1992. She began her acting career early, playing minor parts in television and film, and her biography includes numerous awards, on-screen cameos and chart-topping hits. The single Wrecking Ball won Miley worldwide attention, both for its haunting lyrical quality and its sexually explicit music video. Wrecking Ball went to number-one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 charts. Miley Cyrus was named MTV's Artist of the Year in 2013. Miley recently completed her Bangerz tour, performing 80 shows across the world. The music video for her number-one song, Wrecking Ball, won video of the year at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards.
