Coral Throne is the record Mandroid Echostar have been waiting to unleash since the successfully crowd funded EP Citadels came out in 2013. The album is the first full length delivered by the band and represents the most intricate and correlative guitar work to date, with the harmonies only complemented further by dynamic vocals and galloping drums to curate a truly unique album. Recorded in December 2014/January 2015 at Vespa Studios in Toronto with Juno award winning producers Eric Ratz and Harry Hess. Coral Throne is another concept record, a speculative fiction inspired by the real histories of colonialism, cultural genocide, and the clash of organized religion and traditional spirituality. Musically the record is a further realization of the bands vision, incorporating a wider array of feelings and sounds into a calculated and yet adventurous song structures.
