We, the Hood family, were traditional (until the chooks arrived) beef cattle farmers, at Keith, in the South East of South Australia. After travelling extensively last year we realised that the food on offer didn't taste the same as ours grown at home!! We could see the benefit of adding Chookens to our enterprise mix for many different reasons but, we also needed to manage them in a fashion that their eggs were as tasty as our back yard chooken eggs.Earth Eggs are different because, our chookens are free to be chookens, they are moved every day and we don't have sales targets. We stock the appropriate number of chookens to heal and benefit our land. Our chookens are beyond free range. Our 'Earth Eggs' are a yummy by-product of a whole farm plan, in which, both chookens and cattle play a major role.We believe "Earth Eggs" will be a valuable South Australian product supplying consumers with what they want, grass fed, paddock eggs!!
