I am an enthusiastic amateur pianist (and organist, sort of) with a passion for discovering music. I love to explore the byways of the classical repertoire as much as to study and record the standard repertoire. My piano is a Gabriel Gaveau the exact age of which I am unsure of, I think it may be from around 1920. Some work was done on it in 2004 (new hammers and minor mechanical revisions) and 2010 (new strings). For recording, I use a Tascam DR-2D portable recorder with its built-in microphones (which are pretty decent though of course not comparable to professional studio microphones). The recording is done in WAV format, 16-bit stereo, 44100 Khz sample frequency, to which a 'Concert Hall Light' reverb is added during post processing. My recordings can (after my approval) be freely used for non-commercial purposes such as short films and documentaries. Should you want to use some, drop me a message so I can provide you the original WAV or MP3 file(s).
