These videos feature Carmen Bryana born 4/8/10. Up until 12-15 months Carmen was developing right on track. In some areas, she was more advanced than her siblings when they were that age. She had approximately 6 words she could say, e.g. mama, dada & bye-bye. She lost her words & stopped looking at us. We began to suspect there was something more & met with her pediatrician who referred us to a Specialist. After a few months of testing & therapy Carmen was diagnosed with Autism at 20-months. She has been in intensive intervention therapies like ABA, OT, & Speech since the age of 18 months. At four years old Carmen is beginning to talk. She still has a long road in front of her but everyone is hopeful she will be "recovered" one day. Carmen also has a rare Chromosome deletion, Celiac Disease (she is gluten free) & has Chiari Malformation Type 1.
