"BDF" was raised in Bellingham, began his career in acting, music and writing in Seattle. He worked with The Group Theatre in plays such as Tamer of Horses with William Mastrosimone and Tracers with John DiFusco. His first feature film role came with Keith Gordon's The Chocolate War, which moved him to Los Angeles. He's had starring roles in independent features including Jezebels Kiss with Malcolm McDowell, Wild Orchid 2, The Dark side of Genius with Seymour Cassel, Finola Hughes and Moon Zappa, The Little Death with Dwight Yoakam, J.T. Walsh and Pamela Gidley, and Tall as Trees with Chin Chin Gutierrez and Monsour Del Rosario. He Cameoed in David Lynch's Wild at Heart with Nick Cage and Laura Dern, New Line's Book of Love with Chris Young and Josie Bissett, and Broken Vessels (for which he and Martin Blasick wrote original songs and musical score).
