Brought up on a steady diet of classic rock and jazz greats, the Canadian teenager had her first singing lesson as a toddler and inked a deal with legendary songwriter and producer Billy Mann at age 12. Her first single, a club collaboration with Gazzo called "Heart Wont Beat, was released under the moniker AJA9 in 2017 and became an instant hit with Radio Disney and heralded the arrival of a bright new star.
