The Punjab is a geopolitical, cultural and historical region in South Asia, specifically in the northern part of the Indian subcontinent. In 1947, India divided into two countries resulting division of Punjab as well on religious basis. The Partition of Punjab divided the Land of the Five Rivers between India and Pakistan, yet, geographically, it stands as one indivisible unit. The people of the Punjab are called Punjabis, and their principal language is Punjabi. The language Punjabi has two scripts (Gurmukhi and Shahmukhi). Both parts of Indian and Pakistani Punjab has same language, culture and heritage. Punjabis are very friendly and loving people.
