London-based Camilla Yen is a Norwegian singer/songwriter with Vietnamese descent, born in 1995. Influenced by Lianne La Havas, Melody Gardot, Bernhoft and Banks - her music can be described as a fine mixture of pop and R&B. The trilingual singer writes about misunderstandings that occur due to social- and culturual differences that have disrupted her life, but also shaped who she is today. With an academic musical background in classical piano and jazz vocals, she naturally developed a passion for musical composition and songwriting. At age 16, she won the local songwriting competition, Melodi Grand Prix Ung, which was the moment she decided to pursue music.The debut EP, "People Like Us" (2018), earned Camilla Yen a recommendation by the Norwegian national radio station and famous tastemaker, NRK P3. Her music has been radio played in over 30 countries, furthermore, received brilliant reviews from music blogs and magazines all over the world (Indiepulse, Blisspop, Eucalypt etc).
